Top of Ornament:
Use “I” (5.5 mm) hook and ww silver yarn. Leave a few inches for the beginning tail end as it will be used for a loop on top of the ornament hanger.

Assembly of Hat:
Fasten off (leave 18” tail to sew on to hat with yarn needle, but do not sew on hat yet). Take beginning tail end and thread it up through top, thread it back down through other side of top, leaving a loop about one inch long on the top (this will form the little loop on top of the ornament that the ribbon will go through). Tie other side in a knot from bottom and fasten off, weave in ends. Use yarn needle and long tail end to sew on to hat. Cut a piece of ribbon about 8” long and thread it through the loop on top, tie in a double knot so that it forms a hanging loop. Trim ends.
